When you use NexPaths, we may collect the following information:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Career Profile Data: Career goals, experience level, target roles, skills, and preferences you provide during onboarding and profile setup (CareerDNA).
• Resume Data: Resumes you upload for analysis. These are processed by our AI and stored securely.
• Video Content: Videos uploaded through the Spotlight Creator Program, including titles, descriptions, tags, and metadata.
• Community Content: Reviews, ratings, ghosting reports, content requests, comments, and other user-generated content.
• Usage Data: How you interact with our features, including analyses run, pages visited, courses completed, XP earned, and feature usage.
• Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through Stripe. We never store your full credit card number.
• Device Information: Browser type, IP address, and device identifiers for security and analytics.

• Provide, maintain, and improve our career intelligence services
• Process your resume analyses, skill gap assessments, and other AI-powered features
• Power the Spotlight Creator Program, including video hosting, engagement tracking, and creator earnings calculations
• Curate and deliver Academy courses, track your learning progress, and award XP
• Generate CareerDNA profiles and match you with relevant opportunities
• Calculate Acceleration Scores, leaderboard rankings, and badge achievements
• Enable community features like networking, reviews, and content requests
• Send you weekly digest emails, learning reminders, and important account notifications (you can opt out anytime)
• Process payments, manage your subscription, and calculate creator payouts
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats
• Analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve the platform

We take your data security seriously. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. Your resumes, videos, and personal information are stored in secure, SOC 2 compliant infrastructure powered by Supabase. Access to user data is strictly limited to essential operations. Video content is stored in secure object storage with access-controlled URLs.

NexPaths uses Anthropic's Claude AI to analyze resumes, generate career insights, create dossier reports, assess AI displacement risk, and provide personalized recommendations. Your content is sent to the AI for processing but is never used to train AI models. AI-generated results are stored in your account for your convenience.

Spotlight videos may be auto-tagged using AI to suggest categories and topics. This tagging is used to improve content discovery and Academy curation.

When you participate in the Spotlight Creator Program or use Academy features:

• Public content: Published Spotlight videos, your creator display name, tier, and engagement metrics are publicly visible on the platform
• Academy attribution: If your Spotlight content is curated into Academy courses, your name and creator tier are displayed alongside the lesson
• Engagement tracking: Views, likes, saves, and ratings on your content are tracked to calculate your Weighted Engagement Score (WES) and creator earnings
• Creator Collections: Collections you create are visible to all users with appropriate tier access
• Content requests: Requests and votes you make on the Content Request Board are visible to other users
• Earnings data: Your creator earnings and payout history are private and visible only to you and NexPaths administrators

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

• Service Providers: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database & storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), Anthropic (AI processing)
• Recruiters (opt-in only): If you enable recruiter discovery, your CareerDNA profile (skills, experience, goals) is visible to verified recruiters. Your resume, contact details, and other private data are never shared without your explicit consent
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

You have the right to:

• Access, update, or delete your personal information
• Export your data (profile, resumes, activity history)
• Opt out of marketing emails, weekly digests, and learning reminders
• Remove published Spotlight content at any time
• Disable recruiter discovery of your CareerDNA profile
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data

• Account data is retained while your account is active
• Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days
• Published Spotlight content curated into Academy may remain accessible with creator attribution preserved, unless you request removal
• Anonymized, aggregated data (salary reports, market trends) may be retained indefinitely
• Payment records are retained as required by law (typically 7 years)

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how you use the platform. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

NexPaths is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice on the platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of NexPaths after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
